While
extensive research into the human genome is still trying to address many ageing-related questions for us, we can’t help but cringe at the sight of
wrinkles and its devastating forms – worry lines, laugh lines, frown lines,
crow’s feet.
As
we try to seek answers in numerous anti-ageing creams and products, it wouldn’t
hurt us to take one good look at some of nature’s very own cures for wrinkles.
The
first thing you could do is to sleep right. Staying up for too many hours into
the night can make you look old, so it is important to get enough sleep. The
way you sleep affects the way you look. To avoid wrinkles, sleep on your back and
keep pillows away from your face. Pressing your face into a pillow whenever you
sleep can give you wrinkles.
While each of us
could have our own version of a balanced diet, it is however essential for the
diet to contain eggs, beef, chicken and whole meat. Vitamins A, C and D act as
anti-oxidants and bring about healthy skin.
Massaging the face
with coconut oil, applying lemon juice several times a day, rubbing the core of
pineapple or green apples, or even a combined paste of turmeric and sugarcane can
help ironing out wrinkles.
Sipping on your
favourite drink with a straw can make you look alluring, but it can cause
wrinkles. So, stay away from those straws. Also, never let the drink linger in your mouth.
Drinking water afterwards can reduce your chances of tooth decay due to the
acids found in colas, non-colas, and other aerated drinks.
Unhappiness,
loneliness, anxiety and depression are major stress factors that can break you
down and may cause premature ageing. Put on a happy face instead. When you will
feel much better, it will reflect on your face too.
Last, but certainly
not the least, be wise and moisturize!
