Pregnancy could be overwhelming, and lot of us face this experience,
everything needed for the baby is right here, when some of the readers
asked about our experience we though why not to create a minimalistic
guide to baby needs. As lot of us want the baby but not all the baggage
of confusion, and moments of panic come along with them.
Every kid is unique, its not just a social campaign but truth, so my minimalistic approach of bare bones might not be applicable for everyone and every situation. And while I was doing my research on pregnancy and care, I got a really inflated list of must have, which can easily be avoided. My objective is define the real necessity for parents, here need a important wants are endless as we know.
We would put only list of things which are highly recommended and get them whenever possible. If you want to buy used you can buy it online there are lot of store which offer great bargain on used baby products, & once you are done with them, you can resell them at the same place online. Its more like borrowing and giving it back, so storing problem is almost solved for you and you have place for new stuffs appropriate for the kids age. SO here goes our list of baby essentials.
Baby Food
• Breastfeeding- every mother masters this art, this is the best and easiest of the food option for the kids. It’s always available, warm and requires no preparation.
• Nipple cream- you will need this for the first two months.
• Nursing bras- As essential as nursing & pregnancy dresses.
• Breast pump- For working moms, Breast pumps are essential, its more of lifestyle requirement, if you arnt working mom and taking care of the baby yourself only. Than you don’t need it.
Once kid is over a year and Half old, its probably time for you to go for formula feedings which are readily available. Don’t worry about buying them backup since you may never need them again.
• Diapers- Whether cloth or disposable, its totally your choice, you could buy age appropriate diapers online.
• Clothes- Clothes need to be soft, age appropriate to the baby. One of my friend advised not to spend few hundred rupees of clothes because every second month you will have to buy new one same as shoes & it has been a great advice.
Shelter
• A “bed”- In-case you are short in space and you need better sleeping arrangement than having crib or co sleeping, consider playpen. Playpens are handy change table and bassinet functionalists.
Transportation
• Car seat- Highly recommended for buying. Its required for the safety and comfort of the new born baby.
• Stroller- Strollers to me are optional things, because its more of lifestyle requirement, if you are city dweller and enjoy walking on the trails, strollers is your thing.
• Wrap or carrier- This is my personal favorite I find it much more convenient to pop a baby in the carrier most of the time.
