DIFFERENT STYLES OF DRESS SHOES

Dress shoes are vital in any man’s wardrobe. For a dapper wardrobe, it is recommended that you stock it with at least few different styles of dress shoes. This is just to get rid of boredom as you dress up in formals.
There isn’t a small variety of shoes available for men. There are formals, casuals, boots, sneakers and more. The different shoe styles just do not end with wide categorization as formal/ dress shoes or casuals but there are more sub-categories that extend the shoe styles list.
Let us now take a sneak-peak in to the different styles of dress shoes (that can otherwise be called as formal shoes) available for men.
Varied Dress Shoe Styles
These are the shoes that can be worn to office regularly as a segment of formal attire. They can also be worn to important black tie events and other social gatherings where other type of shoes like casuals or boots will not add to the esteem quotient.
1.      Oxfords
These are traditional dress shoes and they are also known as Balmorals. Oxfords have low insteps with soles that are mostly not leather. Oxfords are always made of leather but the soles will be of suede or faux leather.
They will have no embellishments and oxfords throw an elegant look only when they are plain. They come in classic colors like black, tan, brown and few other limited colors.
2.      Loafers
These are formal shoes with sporty touch. Loafers will not cast any laces or buckles. They will have a slip-on, sometimes tassels and a flat heel. They are considered as formals as well as semi-formal shoes that will do well for all formal occasions.

3.      Cap-Toes
This is the most common type of dress shoes. Cap-toes are nothing but Oxfords with classy embellishments. Cap-toes will cast a larger leather band with contrast stitching over the toe area. They are also very expensive when compared to other dress shoe styles.
4.      Dress Boots
Yes! Boots too can be categorized as a formal wear but only dress boots qualifies for that. Dress boots are nothing but slim, ankle-length boots with a slight heel that fit the foot and leg.  They come with little or more embellishments and in a wing-tip pattern. They can also be worn with casual dresses.
5.       Monk Strap
Loafers without straps are monk strap shoes. They are very stylish addition to a formal outfit. Loafers will be plain and strapless but monk straps will have a metallic buckle and a leather strap on the upper portion of the shoe. They are a good choice for wearing with dressy jeans, casual dress pants or to the office.
Be very particular about the style of dress shoe whenever you dress up to office or a formal gathering. This is because they fine tune your esteem quotient among the elite crowd you are meeting every day as part of your business.
