This guide is a overview of men’s dress shoe formality meant to help
you “generally” understand shoe types, the levels of dress, and what
style shoe can be worn with what style clothing.
We regally mark them as shoes and that’s it, wearing them without knowing what generally we understand as shoe type, the level of dress, and what style shoes can be worn with what style of clothing.
For a better understanding of shoe type of men’s shoes, we thought about writing a piece of information which could easily be tailored as Men’s Style guide.
Balmoral (Bal)
Being the dressiest oxford men footwear option for men. Oxford shoes are sleek , minutely refined, most often sold in black or brown , the best thing about them is they go well with any dark or conservative color.
Common style options for Balmoral shoes are plain toe, Cap toe, brogue and Whole cut
They are the best with suits; they could also be casually worked with sports jacket and unusual teousars. But please no jeans or Chinos with these shoes.
Every Man who loves wearing should own a pair of classic oxfords that minimally styled. If suits are your everyday choice, You should have at least two to three pair of shoes to keep them rotating frequently .
Men’s Bluchers
• Though some might consider it little less classy than Oxfords. Bluchers are identified by lacing system that is evident from the outside of the shoe. See the picture.
• Men Bluchers could be worn with suits, but look great with odd jackets and Trousers. Unlike Oxfords, Bluchers could be worn with the jeans, considering their casual styling.
• Bluchers style variations are, capote, wing tip brogue, In wide differentiators, Materials like suede and Mixed Leather s.
• Common variations are saddle shoes, derbys, spectators, and laced moccasins
• A classic shoe that should serve as your 2nd or 3rd pair depending on needs -the more extreme the styling, the less versatile the shoe.
Men’s Dress Boots
• Dress Boots are meant to protect the ankles from water, mud, Snow, I would strongly recommend against wearing them with suits.
• Some of the style options for Dress boots are cap toe, wing tip, broguei, wide variation in materials especially water resistant leather cuts.
• Sport right kind of sports jacket with trousers or jeans. Not to wear the boots in normal days but when its rainy / snowy weather.
